Myagdi: Beni-Jomson road connecting Mustang to the national highway via the northern part of Myagdi has been obstructed since Saturday morning.

A landslide that occurred at Kavrebhir has obstructed the vehicular movement along the Beni-Jomson road section.

Supervisor of the road project Indra Singh Sherchan said that boulders have fallen on the road obstructing vehicular movement.

He said, “Preparation is underway to resume the traffic. We have proposed the District Administration Office through the road project to break the rock using explosives as the attempt to remove the rock by using a dozer went in vain.”

According to the District Administration Office, a team of the Nepali Army with explosive materials has been sent to Kavrebhir for the same.

Vehicles plying towards Mustang from Beni and from Mustang to Myagdi have been stranded following the road obstruction.
