Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is preparing to reappoint Janardan Sharma as the Minister for Finance.
Sources say that Pushpa Kamal Dahal, chair of CPN Maoist (Center) met PM Deuba to discuss the appointment of Sharma as Finance Minister again. “Sharma will take oath from President Bidya Bhandari today,” sources told Nepal Live Today.
Sharma resigned on July 6 after the House of Representatives formed an 11-member probe committee to investigate the allegations that he allowed unauthorized persons to alter tax rates a day before budget speech.
