Five die, nine injured in Darchula jeep accident

Kathmandu: A jeep plunged 500 meters off the road at Shailyashikhar Municipality-6 in Darchula, leaving five dead and nine injured on Wednesday afternoon.

The ill-fated jeep with registration number Se 1 Ja 551 met with the accident at around 4:15 in the afternoon, confirmed Dirgaraj Upadhyaya, chief district officer of Darchula.

Of the deceased, four are male, and one is female. All of them died on the spot, according to police.

The deceased have been identified as Hikmat Jagri, Pune Bohora, Ujale Bohora, Raibhan Bohora and his wife Champa Bohora. They all are from Bungal Municipality.
