Kathmandu: Niharika Rajput has broken her fast-unto-death, following a three-point agreement with the government.

The agreement was signed between Chief District Officer, Kathmandu, Gobinda Prasad Rijal and Rajput on Sunday night.

Rajput, who had been on hunger strike for the past 17 days, broke her strike in the presence of Minister for Law Gobinda Prasad Koirala ‘Bandi’.

Rajput has been demanding a DNA test of the accused rapist, who she claims is the father of her son.

It may be noted that Rajput, a single mother, has long been protesting and demanding justice for her and her son. She accused one Shivaraj Shrestha of Janakpur of raping her when she was 17.
