Impeachment Recommendation Committee seeks evidence against CJ Rana

Kathmandu: The Impeachment Recommendation Committee of the House of Representatives has issued a public notice seeking evidence against suspended Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana.

The house committee that is investigating the impeachment motion filed against Rana in the Parliament Secretariat, issued a public notice on Friday asking the general public to provide any evidence related to accusations leveled against Rana within three days.

A meeting of the committee held on Thursday had decided to request the stakeholders to provide the evidence, documents, and information related to allegations against CJ Rana.

The ruling coalition on February 11 filed an impeachment motion against Rana demanding his removal from the post.
