Kathmandu: Former Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Nepal Police Sarbendra Khanal has joined CPN-UML.
UML Chairman KP Sharma inducted Khanal into the party at a function organized in Kathmandu on Thursday.
The party said it has been inducting former civil servants into the party taking the November 20 parliamentary polls into consideration. UML claims it will garner a two-thirds majority in the upcoming elections.
