Kapan fire: Identity of deceased ascertained

Kathmandu: The identity of three persons, who were killed in a fire at Kapan on Thursday, has been ascertained, police confirm.

The deceased, according to police, are Kasang Tenji Sherpa, 27, of Taplejung, Ashok Rai, 32, of Sankhuwasabha, and Chewang Sherpa, 25, of Kathmandu, Ranibari.

A massive fire broke out at the office of Elite Himalayan Adventures, a trekking company, in Kapan, Budhanikantha Municipality.

According to police, the fire occurred due to the explosion of portable oxygen cylinders and portable gas cylinders.

Likewise, 28-year-old Kushal Budhathoki has sustained burn injuries in his legs and face. He is receiving treatment at Karuna Hospital.
