Kathmandu: At least seven passengers died when a bus met with an accident at Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-6, Jurikhet in Makawanpur district along the Hetauda-Kulekhani road section on Thursday.
Six people died on the spot and one passenger succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment.
According to police, the minibus, Ba 3 Kha 7858, skidded off the road and fell down the hill causing the fatalities. A total of 22 others traveling on the bus have been injured.
The identification of the deceased is yet to be ascertained. Police backed by the locals are carrying out the rescue operation.
