KMC to operate free ambulance service during Dasain

Kathmandu: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is providing free ambulance service during the Dasain holidays.

KMC is operating a free ambulance service for the convenience of the citizens as most of the ambulance services remain suspended during the Dasain holidays, the KMC said through a public notice.

It has asked people to dial 102 for ambulance service and 1180 for information related to dengue.
Similarly, KMC is providing health services for treating the citizens in view of dengue spreading throughout the country, including in Kathmandu, in pandemic proportion. The metropolis will mobilize its volunteers to take information on dengue and provide free ambulance services to the patients.

Moreover, KMC will be deploying 558 volunteers throughout the Dasain period, who will distribute paracetamol tablets and sachets of oral rehydration salt to the residents.
