Kathmandu: Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has announced that he would not be a candidate for the election of House of Representatives scheduled on November 20.
During a press meet organised at his office in Singha Durbar, Speaker Sapkota said he decided not to contest the election this time in order to give opportunity and support young generation so that they would be brought to leadership.
He extended gratitude to the voters and people, saying they played role to elect him continuously for 15 years and assured that he would remain active to resolve people’s problems and country’s development in coming days.
