Nagarik Unmukti Party wins federal parliament seat in Kailali-3

Kathmandu: Ganga Ram Chaudhary of Nagarik Unmukti Party has won the election to the Member of the House of Representatives in Kailali-3.

Chaudhary defeated his nearest rival CPN (Maoist Centre)’s Krishna Kumar Chaudhary who was competing in the election on behalf of the left-democratic alliance by a huge margin. He obtained 23,120 votes while the UML candidate got 17,749, according to election officer Laxmi Narayan Dahal.

With the completion of vote counts for the HoR poll, counting for the Provincial Assembly is underway in Kailali-3. Vote counting in the other four constituencies in the district continues.
