Vote counting has been suspended in Myagdi after ballot papers without the signature of the polling officer were found. A total of 102 ballot papers for the House of Representatives elections were found without the polling officer’s signature while counting the ballot papers at Devisthan polling center in Malika Rural Municipality-5.

The parties in the ruling alliance have demanded an investigation and action against the polling officer after this discovery. There is no signature of the polling officer on 24 ballot papers with the stamp on the ‘Sun’ election symbol, 65 ballot papers with the stamp on the ‘Tree’ election symbol, and 13 ballot papers with stamp on other election symbols.

The Office of the Chief Election Officer has said the vote counting has been suspended after the parties in the ruling alliance demanded an investigation.
