Staying warm: Winterization kits distributed by China Foundation for Rural Development in Manang district

Beijing-based charitable organization has distributed hundreds of winterization kits to residents living in high altitude areas of Manang.

Lok.Sin Charity, China has distributed winterization kits to households living in high-altitude areas of Manang district in collaboration with Global Cooperation for Development (GCD). The distribution program was supported by the China Foundation for Rural Development, a Beijing-based nongovernment organization. 

The organization has handed over more than 300 kits to families of Chama, Deshang, and Narsho rural municipalities. 

Speaking at the distribution ceremony, Zou ZhiQiang, country director of CFPA said that China is always positive in extending support to Nepali people to ensure their health and well-being.

The winterization kits distribution program is aimed at keeping people warm, said Mukti Marasini, chairperson of Global Cooperation for Development (GCD). “It is a targeted program. We have distributed the kits to the elderly people and people of low economic conditions.”

China Foundation for Rural Development is an international non-government organization headquartered in Beijing. The organization has been carrying out various humanitarian support in collaboration with the Lalitpur-based non-profit organization GCD.
