Kathmandu: A couple has been arrested on the charge of murdering a teacher in Baitadi district.
The arrested, according to police, are Praja Bohora and his wife Bimala. They are arrested on the charge of murdering Dhan Bahadur Bista, a teacher of Krishna Secondary School in Patan of the district. Bista was a resident of Sunara Rural Municipality-2.
The police made the couple, residents of Purchaudi Municipality-3, public through a press conference in the Baitadi District Police Office.
According to police, their investigation found that Praja murdered the teacher on December 16, accusing him of misbehaving with his wife Bimala, who was staying at the hostel of the school.
“The husband found the teacher hugging her wife. He then beat him to death on the spot,” according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Prem Bahadur Shahi.
