Sudanese national arrested from Kathmandu Airport in possession of 19 kg gold

Kathmandu: Police have arrested a Sudanese national from the Tribhuvan International Airport in possession of 19 kilograms of gold.

A team of police, during a regular security check, arrested the Sudanese national with possession of gold in a liquid form. The arrested had come to Nepal through a Fly Dubai flight, confirmed Deputy Inspector General Shyam Prasad Gyawali, chief of the Airport Police.

The arrested is currently in police custody, and further investigations are underway.
