Palpa: At least six people have died in a bus accident in Khursane, Palpa that occurred on Thursday night. All of the deceased were residents of Rainadevi Chahara Rural Municipality-8.
According to Rembahadur Rana, the chair of Rainadevi-8, the victims include 54-year-old Khemsani Rana, 33-year-old Nirmala Ghimire, 11-year-old Suruma Ghimire, 19-year-old Vima Pandey, 45-year-old Guni Gaha, and 21-year-old Dankumari Khattri.
The bus, numbered Ga 1 Kha 4977, was traveling from Saljhadi in Rupandehi to Khursane when it plunged 60 meters off the road. 18 other passengers were injured. They have been sent to Butwal for medical treatment.
