Kathmandu: In perhaps the first meeting with Nepal’s top political leader after he presented his credentials to President of Nepal on January 13, Chinese ambassador to Nepal Chen Song met with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ Monday morning.
According to the prime minister secretariat, the two “exchanged views on further strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between Nepal and China.” Chen Song is the new Chinese ambassador to Nepal who arrived in Kathmandu to take office on January 8.
Following the meeting, PM Dahal and CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli held a meeting in the latter’s residence in Balkot, Bhaktapur.
