Indira Rana Magar of Rastriya Swatantra Party files candidacy for the post of Deputy Speaker

The election for the post of the deputy speaker has been scheduled in a House Session on Saturday

Kathmandu: Indira Rana Magar of Rastriya Swatantra Party has filed her candidacy for the post of deputy speaker on Friday.

Magar, a central committee member of the party, has been proposed by Sobita Gautam, and seconded by Krishna Gopal Shrestha of CPN-UML, Narayan Sharma of Maoist Center and Rajendra Lingden of Rastriya Prajatantra Party. 

The meeting of the party on Friday morning decided to file her candidacy for the post. 

The election for the post of the deputy speaker has been scheduled in a House Session on Saturday. 

Earlier on Thursday, Dev Raj Ghimire of CPN-UML was appointed the House Speaker. The proposal to endorse Ghimire, the party incharge of Province 1, to the post of the Speaker was endorsed through the majority.
