Dharan: A man was killed and another critically injured in a Khukuri attack in Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City-5.
According to the District Police Office, Sunsari, 35-year-old Kumar Budhathoki was murdered while 25-year-old Manju Khadka Rai sustained critical injuries.
The police confirmed that local Harka Bahadur Rai, 39, was responsible for the attack. Police have already arrested him.
After killing Kumar, Harka Bahadur also entered Manju’s house and attacked her with the same weapon. The local residents were able to apprehend Harka Bahadur after he brutally attacked Manju.
Manju is currently receiving treatment at the Bijaypur Hospital in Dharan while Kumar’s body has been taken to the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS).
Police are investigating the incident.
