Two Nepali youths kidnapped and killed in India

Kathmandu: In a tragic incident, two Nepali youths were kidnapped and killed in India near the border of Nepal and India.

The bodies of Rohit Shah and Bishnu Shah, who were 22 and 23 years old respectively, were found buried in the ground in Sitamani district. They both were residents of Janakpur Sub Metropolitan City.

According to police reports, the two young men were on their way to a party in India when they were kidnapped. The kidnappers reportedly demanded a ransom, and the family members were working to secure their release. However, the bodies of the two men are discovered a 10 days later, with the cause of death being determined as strangulation.

Both of them were kidnapped on January 11. 

A team of Nepal Police has already arrested two persons in connection with kidnapping and murder, confirmed Deputy Inspector General Basanta Kunwar, who is the chief of Madhesh Province Police.

“The kidnappers killed one person right after kidnapping. Another person was killed after some time,” he said.

Police are further investigating the case.
