Balen Shah bids farewell to skateboard players participating in World Championship

Four Nepali players–two male and two female–are participating in the Championship in the UAE

Kathmandu: Balen Shah, mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, on Wednesday bid farewell to skateboard players who are participating in the World Skateboard Championship in the United Arab Emirates from January 29 to February 12.

Those who are participating in the championship are Gajendra Bardewa,  Basanta Rai, Samiskshya Rai, Pemba Shrestha. Likewise, team manager Ajay Saru and Coach Ujjwal Dangol are also traveling to the UAE, said Achyut Khanal, president of Nepal Skating and Skateboard Association.

“This is an important Championship as it is the gateway to participate in the 2024 Paris Olympics,” he said.
