Following the arrest, police have filed a case against them at the Kathmandu District Court on criminal charges. The Court has already remanded the arrested in custody for three days.

The transport operators were protesting against the traffic police’s ‘stringent’ rules, and Kathmandu Metropolitan City’s decision not to let long and medium route public vehicles park in open spaces other than inside the New Bus Park at Gongabu.
