Rupak Sapkota appointed as PM’s foreign affairs advisor

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has appointed Rupak Sapkota as his foreign affairs advisor. Sapkota, a PhD in International Relations from Renmin University of China, is an expert on Nepal-China relations and global geopolitics. He also served as the Deputy Executive Director of the Institute of Foreign Affairs.

Sapkota earned his Master’s degree from Shandong University, and a PhD from the Renmin University of China, both in International Relations.
