Civil Aviation grounds all Shree Airlines aircraft for investigation

The development comes following an incident where one of its plane's engines caught fire mid-flight on Thursday.

Kathmandu: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has grounded all Shree Airlines aircraft on Friday for investigation, following an incident where one of its plane’s engines caught fire mid-flight on Thursday. 

“The aircraft have been grounded for technical tests,” said Jagganath Niraula, spokesperson for the CAAN. 

The affected aircraft, with registration number 9N-ANR, had taken off from Tribhuvan International Airport with 78 passengers onboard at 9:38am.
