President-elect Ram Chandra Paudel pays homage to founder of communist party

Kathmandu: President-elect Ram Chandra Paudel garlanded the statue of the Nepal Communist Party’s founder Pushpa Lal Shrestha at the Pushpa Lal Memorial Park at Champadevi of Kirtipur on Saturday. On the occasion, the President was received and welcomed by Chairperson of the Pushpa Lal Memorial Academy and the CPN (Unified Socialist) Chair Madav Kumar Nepal, lawmaker Rajendra Kumar KC, Province Assembly member Pukar Maharjan, Mayor of Kirtipur Municipality Raj Kumar Nakarmi and ward chair Shyam KC among others.

Following the garlanding, President-elect Paudel signed a visitors’ book put in the Pushpalal Memorial Foundation. He wrote that he was a happy to observe the Park and wished for its development and progress. In the visitor’s chamber, President Paudel and former Prime Minister Nepal talked about contemporary issues of the country, it is said. On the occasion, Unified Socialist Chair Nepal handed a memorial text belonging to Pushpa Lal to the President.
