Kathmandu: In a dramatic game, Nepal beat the United Arab Emirates by nine runs (D/L method) in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League Division 2 in Kirtipur in Kathmandu. With the win, Nepal has qualified for the World Cup Qualifiers in Zimbabwe.

An impressive batting effort in the middle overs helped Nepal beat the visitors.

Winning the toss and inviting Nepal to bowl first, the visitors posted a mammoth target of 311 runs. In a must-win game to qualify for the World Cup Qualifiers, Nepal had a shaky start losing three early wickets inside seven overs.

Nepal had posted 269 runs in 44 overs before the match was called off due to bad light.
