Kathmandu: Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) will be closed for six hours on Thursday, it said.

The airport will halt all domestic and international flights from 1am to 7am to install a new online UPS system to ensure the safety of passengers, it said issuing a statement. 

“The new system will provide a reliable and uninterrupted power supply in the airport,” the statement added. 

The airport administration has requested all airlines to manage their flights accordingly, ensuring that passengers are not inconvenienced.
