Kathmandu: Government employees affiliated with various political parties have threatened to disrupt daily operations at Singha Durbar, which serves as the administrative hub of the government of Nepal.
They decided to launch protests against the Federal Civil Service Bill, which they believe has not been adequately addressed by the government.
As part of their demonstration, the employees plan to send text messages to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on May 2 and 3, drawing attention to their cause.
On May 4, employees working within the Singha Durbar premises also pledged to abstain from reporting to their respective workstations. According to them, this protest is necessary as the government has shown no intention of addressing their demands, and they urge the government to pass the Bill during the ongoing parliamentary session.
