Prime Minister Dahal expands cabinet for the ninth time, appoints three Nepali Congress leaders as ministers

This is the ninth time that Dahal has expanded his cabinet since being appointed as Prime Minister on December 25.

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ expanded his cabinet by appointing three Nepali Congress leaders as ministers on Wednesday evening. This marks the ninth time that Dahal has expanded his cabinet since being appointed as Prime Minister on December 25. 

Dhan Raj Gurung, Mohan Bahadur Basnet, and Dig Bahadur Limbu were appointed as ministers, with Gurung taking on the role of Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Basnet as Minister for Health and Population, and Limbu as Minister for Youth and Sports. 

Basnet is close to the establishment faction led by party President Sher Bahadur Deuba, while Gurung and Limbu are aligned with the anti-establishment faction led by Dr Shekhar Koirala.
