Nepal Placed in Group A with two-time World Champions West Indies and Zimbabwe in ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers

Kathmandu: Nepal has been placed in Group A alongside two-time World Cup winners West Indies and Zimbabwe for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers in Zimbabwe from June 18. 

According to the fixtures released by the ICC, Nepal are placed in Group A with West Indies, Zimbabwe, the Netherlands and the United States of America. 

The Nepali team is set to kick off the tournament on June 18, facing the host country Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club in Harare. Following that, Nepal will take on the United States on June 20 at Old Hararians in Harare. Then, they will face West Indies, a two-time champion, on June 22, before concluding the group stage by playing against the Netherlands on June 24. 

With hopes of securing a spot in the top three of the group, Nepal aims to advance to the super six stage of the tournament. On Monday, Nepal announced a preliminary squad of 20 members for the tournament.

The top two side of the tournament will qualify of the World Cup to be played in India in November.
