Earthquake hits Sindhupalchowk

Kathmandu: An earthquake occurred with its epicenter in Golche, Sindhupalchok. The National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center in Lainchaur reported that the tremor measured 3.9 on the Richter scale and took place at 1:19 pm today. 

Prior to this, on May 24, an earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale was recorded with its epicenter around Daulichaur, Bajhang. Earthquakes have been occurring frequently in the western and eastern parts of the country lately. The mountainous and hilly regions of Nepal are known for being prone to earthquakes.
