Pakistan to continue supporting Nepal in education

Kathmandu: Pakistan ambassador to Nepal has said that the support Pakistan is providing for educational enhancement of Nepali students would be continued in the days to come. He was speaking at an Alumni Get Together of Nepali students, who were the recipient of scholarships under Pakistan Technical Assistance Program (PTAP) in MBBS, BDS, D Pharmacy, BS Engineering etc among others.

Ambassador Abrar H Hashmi added that the educational scholarships by Pakistan to Nepali students reflected the closeness of people-to-people relations between Pakistan and Nepal. He said Nepali students made life-long friendships while in Pakistan and carried with them positive memories all their lives.

On the occasion, Prof Dr Bhola Thapa, Vice-Chancellor of Kathmandu University, recollected the depth and warmth of Nepal-Pakistan friendly relations and appreciated the support of Pakistan for Nepal’s development, especially in the field of technical education. He thanked government of Pakistan for equipping Nepali students with quality education at its renowned educational institutions. He noted that the students qualified from Pakistan were contributing towards the progress of Nepal with their rich educational experience.
