Pakistan envoy presents letter of credence to Nepal president

Kathmandu: Abrar H Hashmi presented his Letters of Credence as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Nepal President of Nepal Ramchandara Paudel at a ceremony held at the office of the president in Kathmandu on Monday.

On the occasion, Hashmi conveyed greetings and best wishes of the President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif as well as from the people of Pakistan for the personal health of the President of Nepal and continued progress and prosperity of friendly people of Nepal.

President Paudel welcomed and congratulated Abrar H Hashmi as Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal. He also mentioned a cordial and friendly relations that so happily exists between peoples of Pakistan and Nepal and assured full cooperation of government of Nepal to the Ambassador in discharge of his duties in Nepal. On the occasion, President also asked the Ambassador to convey his greetings, and best wishes to Pakistan president, prime minister and people for their continued progress and prosperity.

Hashmi expressed that the bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Nepal have always been cordial based on goodwill, mutual trust and cooperation.  He further said that both the countries will work to revive bilateral mechanisms and high-level contacts. He said that both countries were founding members of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) and said Nepal gives high importance to SAARC and is optimistic about reactivating SAARC process.

Ambassador Hashmi also reiterated the invitation by President of Pakistan to the President of Nepal to visit Pakistan at the earliest. Nepal president thanked the President of Pakistan for the kind invitation and said that he would visit Pakistan at an appropriate time, and invited President of Pakistan to pay a visit to Nepal as well.
