Pakistan embassy awards prizes to winners of essay writing and speech competition

Kathmandu: Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu organized award giving ceremonies of 10th Annual Ambassador of Pakistan Essay Writing Competition and sixth Annual Ambassador of Pakistan Speech Competition on Monday. Ambassador Abrar H Hashmi gave away awards to the wining students.

The topic of essay writing competition was “SAARC–How can it be used for Regional Prosperity”. Students securing first, second and third positions were presented Gold, Silver and Bronze medals along with souvenir and cash prizes. The next ten best students were presented with consolation cash prizes.

Top position holders of the Speech Competition on “Impact of Climate Change on our Livelihood-Common Challenge to South Asia” too were given Gold, Silver, Bronze medals along with souvenirs and cash prizes. The next thirteen best students also received souvenirs and cash prizes.

A good number of Nepali students from 38 higher secondary schools and university students participated in the two competitions. Ambassador Hashmi lauded the participating students for their critical thinking and called on them to embrace the challenges of the future. The Ambassador highlighted the importance of youth interactions between the two countries. The two competitions are held each year.
