President Paudel discharged from hospital

He was admitted to the hospital on June 17.

Kathmandu: President Ram Chandra Paudel has been discharged from the Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre on Wednesday following treatment for his chest-related complications. 

He was admitted to the hospital on June 17. 

His health condition is reported to be normal, according to the Office of the President. Meanwhile, President Paudel has thanked the doctors and other health workers involved in his treatment as well as all those who expressed concern over his health and wished him good health and speedy recovery.

President was admitted to the Gangalal Hospital on June 13. A few days later he was referred to the Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre. 

Paudel on June 20 underwent heart surgery to have a pacemaker permanently implanted. 

Earlier in April, Paudel was admitted to TU Hospital twice after experiencing abdominal pain and shortness of breath. He was airlifted to India on April 19 and underwent treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
