Two people, including Nepali national, killed in Saudi Arabia

Kathmandu: An armed man engaged in a firefight with Saudi Arabian security authorities near the US consulate building in Jeddah, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, including a Nepali security guard on Wednesday. 

The Saudi Press Agency reported that a Nepali worker, who served as a private security guard for the consulate, sustained injuries during the confrontation and passed away. 

The spokesperson for the Makkah Region police stated that an individual stopped their car near the American Consulate building in Jeddah Governorate, exited the vehicle while holding a firearm. In response, security authorities took necessary action to address the situation, leading to the assailant’s demise after an exchange of gunfire.
