Kathmandu: A peaceful protest was organized by a collective of young individuals in front of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) office to express their opposition against the violent actions of the City Police.

During the demonstration, the participants played the song ‘Gariba Ko Chameli,’ a rap track by Balen Shah, the mayor of Kathmandu, as a way to demand an inclusive city that embraces all its residents.

Recent videos circulating on social media show the City Police mistreating street vendors. The City Police has received extensive public condemnation due to its inhumane behavior against vendors.

Here are some photos.
