Panchthar: The death toll in jeep accident near Krishna Temple of Phidim Municipality-2 has reached three, as Isetima Sherpa, a 26-year-old resident of Mikwakhola Rural Municipality-5 in Taplejung district, passed away during her treatment at B&C Hospital in Birtamod, Jhapa.
The incident occurred on Tuesday noon when a jeep with registration number Me 1 Ja 1941, heading to Phidim from Birtamod, skidded off the road and plunged approximately 200 meters down the hill.
The other victims of the accident are Jitendra Mani Bikram Wanem, 45, hailing from Maiwakhola Rural Municipality-1 in Taplejung district, and Sabina BK, 40, from Phidim Municipality-10 in Panchthar. A total of 13 others were injured in the accident and are currently receiving medical treatment at hospitals in Jhapa and Panchthar districts.
