Kathmandu: On the occasion of the 76th Anniversary of Pakistan’s Independence Day, a flag hoisting ceremony was held at Embassy of Pakistan on Monday. Charge d’ Affaires Umair Ali hoisted the national flag at the ceremony attended by embassy’s officials and Pakistani community.
Messages of President and Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out.
Speaking on the occasion, Charge d’ Affaires Umair Ali recalled the determination and resolution of Muslims in 1940 to create a separate homeland for themselves and their future generations. He underlined the need for reaffirming the commitment “to make Pakistan the homeland that our forefathers had envisioned.”
