US Senator Chris Hollen wraps his Nepal trip

The focus of the Senator’s visit was on making connections that will help strengthen ties between the US and Nepal, said US embassy in Kathmandu.

Kathmandu: Chris Hollen, the US senator, has wrapped his Kathmandu trip. During his trip Hollen met with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Foreign Minister NP Saud and held inspiring meetings with future political leaders and American Chamber of Commerce members. “The focus of the Senator’s visit has been on making connections that will help strengthen ties between the US and Nepal,” the US embassy in Kathmandu said.

During the trip he also visited the historic Boudhanath Stupa, observed the beautiful aarti at Pashupatinath, and even took a quick trip to Janakpur to admire the Janaki Temple and the Mithila art at the Women’s Development Center, according to the embassy.
