Ward Chairperson of KMC-16, Rijal, passes away

Kathmandu: Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16’s Ward Chairperson, Mukunda Rijal, has passed away this morning. He had been battling pneumonia and was admitted to Grande International Hospital on September 3. 

He succumbed to his illness at 7:30 am today, according to Hospital Director Dr. Binod Bijukchhe. Dr. Bijukchhe stated that Rijal was suffering from severe viral pneumonia and was receiving treatment in the ICU. Rijal had been re-elected to the position of ward chairperson for KMC-16 for the second time. He is survived by his wife and two sons. 

A family member has informed that his last rites will be conducted at Pashupati Aryaghat later today.
