UN General Assembly: Nepal PM meets Norwegian counterpart

Kathmandu: Members of delegation from Nepal, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Foreign Minister NP Saud, have been meeting top leaders from various countries at the sidelines of 78th General Assembly of the United Nations that is taking place in New York. 

PM Dahal met with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre at the United Nations Headquarters on Wednesday. During the meeting, Prime Minister Dahal and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas held important discussions on bilateral relations and multilateral cooperation. “I was quite delighted to meet with Prime Minister of Norway H. E. Jonas Gahr Støre on the sidelines of the UNGA78 today. We had in-depth discussions on how we can further strengthen our bilateral relations and cooperation including at multilateral fora,” Nepal PM wrote on Twitter.

 Torun Dramdal, ambassador of Norway to Nepal, confirmed this. “Norway and Nepal share a good and longstanding partnership. In the margins of #UNGA78, Prime Ministers of Norway and Nepal met to discuss bilateral cooperation & mark 50 years of diplomatic relations,” Dramdal wrote on Twitter.
