Photojournalist Keshab Thoker honored with Press Council Photojournalism Award

Kathmandu: Photojournalist Keshab Thoker has been honored with the Press Council Photojournalism Award.

On the occasion of its establishment day, the Press Council organized a special program at the Shital Niwas, the President’s Office, on Saturday to honor journalists for their contributions in the field.   

During the event, Minister of Communication and Information Technology Rekha Sharma honored photojournalist Thoker for his continuous contributions to photojournalism.

Similarly, this year’s Gopal Das Journalism Award has been presented to journalist Nirmala Sharma by the council. She is the first female journalist to receive this award. The cash prize for this award is Rs 100,000.

Similarly, Press Council Surendra Bahadur Basnet Journalism Award has been presented to Daman Rai of Khotang. The cash prize for this award is Rs 10,000.
