5.3 magnitude earthquake hits Nepal’s Bajhang district

Kathmandu: A 5.3 magnitude earthquake struck Bajhang district, as reported by the National Earthquake Monitoring & Research Center. The seismic event was recorded at 2:40 PM, with its epicenter in Talkot, Bajhang. 

The earthquake’s impact extended to neighboring districts, including Doti, Accham, Bajura, and other areas within the Sudur Paschim province. As a result of ongoing aftershocks, residents are exiting their homes for safety.

According to information provided by Prem Raule, a local journalist, numerous houses in the affected area have sustained damage. “Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties as of now.”
