Kathmandu: Nepal has lent formal support to Israel in its war against Hamas. Foreign Minister NP Saud communicated this message to his Israeli counterpart Eli Cohen on the telephone conversation where he conveyed “Nepal’s solidarity with Israel in this difficult time,” Foreign Ministry said.
Nepal’s Foreign Minister also requested for Israeli Government’s facilitation in early repatriation of mortal remains of deceased Nepalis, safety, security and relocation of Nepali nationals in safer area, and repatriation of those who wish to return home, the foreign ministry informed through tweet.
According to the foreign ministry, Cohen thanked the Government of Nepal for expression of solidarity and assured Israel Government’s full support in early repatriation of the mortal remains and return of Nepalis desiring to come home.
Nepal has already condemned the attack by Hamas group on Israel by dubbing it as ‘terrorist attack.’
