CPN-UML to vote in favor of Chief Minister Karki in Koshi

Kathmandu: The CPN-UML has decided to support the newly-appointed Chief Minister of Koshi Kedar Karki during his floor test scheduled for Wednesday.

A meeting of the parliamentary party on Wednesday morning decided to give vote of confidence to Karki, said chief whip Rewati Raman Bhandari. 

The provincial assembly meeting that was scheduled for 11 AM on Wednesday has been delayed. 

Karki had claimed for the chief ministerial position last Thursday as per the Article 168(5), submitting signatures of 39 UML and eight Nepali Congress lawmakers. The incumbent ruling coalition has also accepted Karki as the chief minister of Koshi.
