PM pledges to make Nepal-China trade point in Mustang operational

He also said that the Chinese side has agreed to assist Nepal in the construction of physical infrastructures along the Korala point.

Jomsom (Mustang): Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has assured of regular operation of the transit points along the Nepal-China border in Mustang. In his address to a program organised by the CPN (Maoist Centre), Mustang chapter at Jomsom on Wednesday, the Prime Minister said it has been agreed during his recent visit to China to operate 14 trade transits along the Nepal-China border. “Likewise, an understanding has been reached to allow the movement of people (locals) via the Korala transit point Mustang on the basis of a pass system.”  He also said that the Chinese side has agreed to assist Nepal in the construction of physical infrastructures along the Korala point (towards the Nepal territory).

He promised to accord top priority for upgrading the Kaligandaki corridor connecting the Korala point.
