Kathmandu: The government of Nepal, which condemned the Hamas attack on Israeli cities by dubbing it as terrorist attack, has also condemned the killing of innocent civilians in a hospital in Gaza. However, this time around the government has not mentioned the name of Israel.

“The Government of Nepal is deeply shocked by the killing of innocent civilians in a hospital in Gaza yesterday,” the press statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday said. “We condemn this attack against the hospital, medical personnel, patients, and civilians and convey our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. We offer prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured people.” The government has also called for the peaceful resolution of the conflict between Israel and Hamas group. “We are seriously concerned about the attack against civilians. We call for the protection of civilian people in all circumstances. We believe in peace and urge for peaceful and negotiated settlement of the dispute,” the statement said.
