Two arrested on charge of murder in Dhanusha

Kathmandu: Two individuals, Pawan Sahani of Aurahi Rural Municipality-6 and Harichan Mandal of Janakpurdham Sub-metropolitan City-24, were arrested by Dhanusha Police for the alleged murder of their acquaintance, Rupesh Mahara Chamar from Janakpurdham-24. 

Chamar’s lifeless body was discovered in a paddy field close to the ISKCON temple last Friday. Initial investigations by police found that the duo had brutally attacked Chamar with a bamboo stick. 

Superintendent of Police Bishwaraj Khadka from the Dhanusha District Police Office said that Mandal had fatally struck Chamar on the head during a heated dispute. Police are currently engaged in a thorough investigation and are preparing to prosecute the accused for the crime of murder.
