Nepal book ticket for ICC T20 World Cup after 10 years 

With the win against the United Arab Emirates, the Rhinos have qualified for the T20 World Cup to be held in West Indies and United States in 2024.

Kathmandu: Nepal has qualified for the ICC T20 World Cup defeating the United Arab Emirates by eight wickets in the semifinal of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Asia Qualifiers at the Mulpani Cricket Ground in Kathmandu on Friday.

Aasif Sheikh cracked a half-century off 39 deliveries as Nepal chased down a target of 136 runs in overs losing two wickets. Sheikh remained not out scoring 63 runs off 50 balls, hitting six fours and two sixes. 

Nepal lost Kushal Bhurtel early in the chase as the opener was caught by Muhammad Waseem off the bowling of Nilansh Keswani in 2.6 overs. Gulasan Jha who came to the crease after the fall of the first wicket scored 22 runs off 24 balls with the help of two fours. 

Likewise, captain Rohit Kumar Paudel scored 35 runs off 21 balls hitting three fours and one six.
